These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their settlements in their territory, for they were given by lot to the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathites:

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

耶和華在約旦河邊，耶利哥對面的摩押平原吩咐摩西說：「你吩咐以色列人，要從所得為業的地中把一些城給利未人居住，也要把這些城四圍的郊野給利未人。這些城鎮要歸他們居住，郊外可以給他們牧放牛羊、牲畜和所有的動物。你們給利未人城的郊外，要從城牆量起，四圍往外量一千肘。你們要往東量二千肘，往南量二千肘，往西量二千肘，往北量二千肘為邊界，以城為中心；這城鎮的郊外要歸給他們。」「你們給利未人的城鎮中，要設立六座逃城，讓誤殺人的可以逃到那裏。此外還要給他們四十二座城。所以，給利未人的城一共有四十八座，連同城的郊外都給他們。從以色列人所得的產業中給利未人的這些城鎮，多的要多給，少的要少給；各支派要按照所承受為業之地的多少把城鎮給利未人。」

又用火焚燒了他們所住的一切城鎮和所有的營寨。

於是以色列人照耶和華的指示，從自己的地業中，把這些城鎮和城鎮的郊外給了利未人。哥轄族抽了籤。利未人中亞倫祭司的子孫，從猶大支派、西緬支派、便雅憫支派的地業中，抽籤得了十三座城。哥轄其餘的子孫，從以法蓮支派、但支派、瑪拿西半支派宗族的地業中，抽籤得了十座城。革順的子孫，從以薩迦支派、亞設支派、拿弗他利支派、住巴珊的瑪拿西半支派宗族的地業中，抽籤得了十三座城。米拉利的子孫，按着宗族，從呂便支派、迦得支派、西布倫支派的地業中，得了十二座城。以色列人照耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的，把這些城鎮和城鎮的郊外，抽籤給利未人。

就是給利未人哥轄宗族的亞倫子孫，因為他們抽到第一籤：
