亚述王普勒来攻击以色列国，米拿现给他一千他连得银子，请普勒帮助他坚定国位。

何细亚第九年亚述王攻取了撒玛利亚，将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑。

以色列王比加年间，亚述王提革拉毗列色来夺了以云、亚伯伯玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，将这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

亚述王将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑；

巴力的儿子是备拉。这备拉作流便支派的首领，被亚述王提革拉毗列色掳去。

我列祖所毁灭的，就是歌散、哈兰、利色，和属提拉撒的伊甸人；这些国的神何曾拯救这些国呢？

应当在净光的山竖立大旗，向群众扬声招手，使他们进入贵胄的门。我吩咐我所挑出来的人；我招呼我的勇士，就是那矜夸高傲之辈，为要成就我怒中所定的。山间有多人的声音，好像是大国人民。有许多国的民聚集哄嚷的声音；这是万军之耶和华点齐军队，预备打仗。他们从远方来，从天边来，就是耶和华并他恼恨的兵器要毁灭这全地。

耶和华又向以色列人发怒，就激动大卫，使他吩咐人去数点以色列人和犹大人。

我列祖所毁灭的，就是歌散、哈兰、利色，和属提拉撒的伊甸人，这些国的神何曾拯救这些国呢？

亚哈斯差遣使者去见亚述王提革拉毗列色，说：“我是你的仆人、你的儿子。现在亚兰王和以色列王攻击我，求你来救我脱离他们的手。”

亚述是我怒气的棍，手中拿我恼恨的杖。我要打发他攻击亵渎的国民，吩咐他攻击我所恼怒的百姓，抢财为掳物，夺货为掠物，将他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。

于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长、祭司、利未人，就是一切被神激动他心的人，都起来要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和华的殿。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将帅来攻击他们，用铙钩钩住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，带到巴比伦去。
