The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel( he was the firstborn, but when he defiled his father’s marriage bed, his rights as firstborn were given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel; so he could not be listed in the genealogical record in accordance with his birthright,

Reuben was the oldest son of Israel. But he slept with his father’s concubine. By doing that, he made his father’s bed“ unclean.” That’s why his rights as the oldest son were given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel. So Reuben isn’t listed in the family history as the one who had the rights of the oldest son.

他就给约瑟祝福说：“愿我祖亚伯拉罕和我父以撒所侍奉的神，就是一生牧养我直到今日的神，救赎我脱离一切患难的那使者，赐福与这两个童子。愿他们归在我的名下和我祖亚伯拉罕、我父以撒的名下。又愿他们在世界中生养众多。”约瑟见他父亲把右手按在以法莲的头上，就不喜悦，便提起他父亲的手，要从以法莲头上挪到玛拿西的头上。约瑟对他父亲说：“我父，不是这样。这本是长子，求你把右手按在他的头上。”他父亲不从，说：“我知道，我儿，我知道。他也必成为一族，也必昌大。只是他的兄弟将来比他还大；他兄弟的后裔要成为多族。”当日就给他们祝福说：“以色列人要指着你们祝福说：‘愿神使你如以法莲、玛拿西一样。’”于是立以法莲在玛拿西以上。以色列又对约瑟说：“我要死了，但神必与你们同在，领你们回到你们列祖之地。并且我从前用弓用刀从亚摩利人手下夺的那块地，我都赐给你，使你比众弟兄多得一份。”

米拉利子孙何萨有几个儿子：长子是申利，他原不是长子，是他父亲立他作长子。

“流便哪，你是我的长子，是我力量强壮的时候生的，本当大有尊荣，权力超众。但你放纵情欲，滚沸如水，必不得居首位；因为你上了你父亲的床，污秽了我的榻。

与继母行淫的，就是羞辱了他父亲，总要把他们二人治死，罪要归到他们身上。

那时，犹大人来到吉甲见约书亚，有基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒对约书亚说：“耶和华在加低斯巴尼亚指着我与你对神人摩西所说的话，你都知道了。

爱子是那不能看见之神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。

他们来的时候，撒母耳看见以利押，就心里说，耶和华的受膏者必定在他面前。耶和华却对撒母耳说：“不要看他的外貌和他身材高大，我不拣选他。因为，耶和华不像人看人：人是看外貌；耶和华是看内心。”耶西叫亚比拿达从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“耶和华也不拣选他。”耶西又叫沙玛从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“耶和华也不拣选他。”耶西叫他七个儿子都从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“这都不是耶和华所拣选的。”撒母耳对耶西说：“你的儿子都在这里吗？”他回答说：“还有个小的，现在放羊。”撒母耳对耶西说：“你打发人去叫他来；他若不来，我们必不坐席。”

风闻在你们中间有淫乱的事。这样的淫乱连外邦人中也没有，就是有人收了他的继母。

以色列的长子是流便。流便的众子：属哈诺的，有哈诺族；属法路的，有法路族；

却要认所恶之妻生的儿子为长子，将产业多加一份给他；因这儿子是他力量强壮的时候生的，长子的名分本当归他。”

不可露你继母的下体；这本是你父亲的下体。
