And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,“ Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

雅比斯禱以色列之天主曰、求主賜福於我、廣我境土、常眷祐我、免我遭患難、有愁苦、天主允其所求、

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said,“ I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.

Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep[ me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.Then I called upon the name of the Lord:“ O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

‘ Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

Let Your hand become my help, For I have chosen Your precepts.

But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

He asked life from You, and You gave it to him— Length of days forever and ever.

“ The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.For“ whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Then he erected an altar there and called it El Elohe Israel.

Then the children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying,“ Why have you given us only one lot and one share to inherit, since we are a great people, inasmuch as the Lord has blessed us until now?”So Joshua answered them,“ If you are a great people, then go up to the forest country and clear a place for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you.”But the children of Joseph said,“ The mountain country is not enough for us; and all the Canaanites who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both those who are of Beth Shean and its towns and those who are of the Valley of Jezreel.”And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph— to Ephraim and Manasseh— saying,“ You are a great people and have great power; you shall not have only one lot,but the mountain country shall be yours. Although it is wooded, you shall cut it down, and its farthest extent shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots and are strong.”

Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.Then God said to him:“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.

The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon His name; They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.

And He said,“ Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said,“ I will not let You go unless You bless me!”

And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.

And He said,“ Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.

When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long.For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

However, Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages; for the Canaanites were determined to dwell in that land.And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites under tribute, but did not completely drive them out.Nor did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; so the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them.Nor did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron or the inhabitants of Nahalol; so the Canaanites dwelt among them, and were put under tribute.Nor did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Acco or the inhabitants of Sidon, or of Ahlab, Achzib, Helbah, Aphik, or Rehob.So the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; for they did not drive them out.Nor did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh or the inhabitants of Beth Anath; but they dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land. Nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath were put under tribute to them.And the Amorites forced the children of Dan into the mountains, for they would not allow them to come down to the valley;and the Amorites were determined to dwell in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim; yet when the strength of the house of Joseph became greater, they were put under tribute.Now the boundary of the Amorites was from the Ascent of Akrabbim, from Sela, and upward.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

saying,“ If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

Then Eli answered and said,“ Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”

Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me;

“ I am one mocked by his friends, Who called on God, and He answered him, The just and blameless who is ridiculed.

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed My sheep.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

But I determined this within myself, that I would not come again to you in sorrow.For if I make you sorrowful, then who is he who makes me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?And I wrote this very thing to you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow over those from whom I ought to have joy, having confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all.For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent— not to be too severe.This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man,so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.
