Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned for fifty five years in Jerusalem.

In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah, became king.

Hezekiah became king when he was twenty five years old; and he reigned for twenty nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

Now it came about in the third year of Hoshea, the son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah became king.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem for sixteen years. He did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord as his father David had done.But he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel; he also made cast metal images for the Baals.Furthermore, he burned incense in the Valley of Ben hinnom, and burned his sons in fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had driven out from the sons of Israel.He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.Therefore the Lord his God handed him over to the king of Aram; and they defeated him and carried from him a great number of captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also handed over to the king of Israel, who struck him with heavy casualties.For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed 120,000 in Judah in one day, all valiant men, because they had abandoned the Lord God of their fathers.And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the king’s son, Azrikam the ruler of the house, and Elkanah the second to the king.The sons of Israel led away captive two hundred thousand of their relatives, women, sons, and daughters; and they also took a great deal of spoils from them, and brought the spoils to Samaria.

Uzziah fathered Jotham, Jotham fathered Ahaz, and Ahaz fathered Hezekiah.Hezekiah fathered Manasseh, Manasseh fathered Amon, and Amon fathered Josiah.

So Ahaz lay down with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
