The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

我可以證明，他們是按着力量，而且也過了力量，自己甘心樂意地捐助，

所以你們當向耶和華－我們的神存誠實的心，遵行他的律例，謹守他的誡命，至終如今日一樣。」

各人要隨本心所酌定的，不要作難，不要勉強，因為捐得樂意的人是神所喜愛的。神能將各樣的恩惠多多地加給你們，使你們凡事常常充足，能多行各樣善事。

我的神啊，我知道你察驗人心，喜悅正直；我以正直的心樂意獻上這一切物。現在我喜歡見你的民在這裏都樂意奉獻與你。

我靠主大大地喜樂，因為你們思念我的心如今又發生；你們向來就思念我，只是沒得機會。

「這些事我已經對你們說了，是要叫我的喜樂存在你們心裏，並叫你們的喜樂可以滿足。

但提摩太剛才從你們那裏回來，將你們信心和愛心的好消息報給我們，又說你們常常記念我們，切切地想見我們，如同我們想見你們一樣。所以，弟兄們，我們在一切困苦患難之中，因着你們的信心就得了安慰。你們若靠主站立得穩，我們就活了。我們在神面前，因着你們甚是喜樂；為這一切喜樂，可用何等的感謝為你們報答神呢？

你要照耶和華－你神所賜你的福，手裏拿着甘心祭，獻在耶和華－你的神面前，守七七節。你和你兒女、僕婢，並住在你城裏的利未人，以及在你們中間寄居的與孤兒寡婦，都要在耶和華－你神所選擇立為他名的居所，在耶和華－你的神面前歡樂。

就請朋友鄰舍來，對他們說：『我失去的羊已經找着了，你們和我一同歡喜吧！』

因為人若有願做的心，必蒙悅納，乃是照他所有的，並不是照他所無的。

我心傾向以色列的首領，他們在民中甘心犧牲自己。你們應當頌讚耶和華！

我所親愛、所想念的弟兄們，你們就是我的喜樂，我的冠冕。我親愛的弟兄，你們應當靠主站立得穩。

當你掌權的日子，你的民要以聖潔的妝飾為衣，甘心犧牲自己；你的民多如清晨的甘露。

我兒，你心若存智慧，我的心也甚歡喜。你的嘴若說正直話，我的心腸也必快樂。

使你們無可指摘，誠實無偽，在這彎曲悖謬的世代作神無瑕疵的兒女。你們顯在這世代中，好像明光照耀，將生命的道表明出來，叫我在基督的日子好誇我沒有空跑，也沒有徒勞。我以你們的信心為供獻的祭物，我若被澆奠在其上，也是喜樂，並且與你們眾人一同喜樂。
