眾於是日、皆大喜樂、式食式飲於主前、以大衛子所羅門再立為王、膏之於主前為君、又膏撒督為大祭司、

They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the Lord that day. Then they acknowledged Solomon son of David as king a second time, anointing him before the Lord to be ruler and Zadok to be priest.

They ate and drank with great joy that day. They did it in front of the Lord. Then they announced a second time that Solomon was king. He was the son of David. They anointed Solomon in front of the Lord. They anointed him to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

They feasted and drank in the Lord’s presence with great joy that day. And again they crowned David’s son Solomon as their new king. They anointed him before the Lord as their leader, and they anointed Zadok as priest.

大闢年邁、使子所羅門為王、治以色列族、

王使耶何耶大子庇拿雅代約押為軍長、使祭司撒督代亞庇亞塔。

使祭司撒督、與先知拿單、沐之以膏、為以色列王、吹角曰、願所羅門王千歲。爾必從之、使踐我位、代我為王、蓋我命之為以色列猶大二族之主。耶何耶大子庇拿雅對曰、固所願也。願我主我王之上帝耶和華所命亦若是。昔耶和華祐我主我王、今願祐所羅門、使其國較我主我王之國尤大。於是祭司撒督、先知拿單、耶何耶大子庇拿雅、及劊役皂隸、俱往、請所羅門乘大闢王之騾、送之至其訓、會幕有膏、盛於角中、祭司撒督取之、以沐所羅門、然後吹角、眾盡懽呼曰、願所羅門王千歲。

莫若以欣以悅、食餅飲酒、爾為是則上帝悅懌。

於爾上帝耶和華前食之、所為之事、既蒙錫嘏、故爾及眷聚、必欣喜歡忭。

拔示巴伏地拜王、曰、願我主大闢王千歲。

以我觀之、人在斯世、莫若為善而享福。上帝賜人、勤勞而得之、式飲式食、安享其成。

則所命之燔祭、禮物、所應輸之什一、所奉獻、所許願、以供耶和華者、俱必攜之、至爾上帝耶和華所簡之室、籲名之所、爾與子女僕婢、必欣喜在爾上帝耶和華前。利未人主於爾家者、既無恆業、亦必使同樂。

當諭此世之富者、心勿傲、無定之財勿恃、惟賴永生上帝、洪賜我眾、百物以享之、故命富者為善、累積美事、喜以賙濟、

我又曰、上帝使人勤於操作、無少休息、莫若耽飲食、樂宴樂之為美。

爾與子女僕婢、及主爾家之利未人、賓旅孤寡、俱必欣喜懽忭、歷至七日必守節、奉爾上帝、耶和華、於其特簡之室、爾之物產、爾之造作、既蒙爾上帝耶和華錫嘏、則必欣喜懽忭。爾之丁男、必至上帝耶和華特簡之室、歲凡三次、即無酵節、七七日節、搆廬節、覲耶和華時、毋徒手而至。既蒙爾上帝耶和華錫嘏、各隨其力、而供給焉。○

民往飲食、饋以餚饌、所誦書詞、既能明晰、故懽然喜樂、

七月二十三日、王遣民歸故土、念耶和華待大闢所羅門及以色列民之厚恩、則欣喜歡忭。

以色列族之長者、既覲上帝、式飲式食、災害弗加。

以我觀之、上帝所賜、既勤勞而得之、則必以飲以食、安坐而享、樂莫大焉。
