Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement.

Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the porch of the temple. He gave him the plans for its buildings and its storerooms. He gave him the plans for its upper parts and its inside rooms. He gave him the plans for the place where sin is paid for and forgiven.

Then David gave Solomon his son the plan of the vestibule of the temple, and of its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, and its inner chambers, and of the room for the mercy seat;

Then David gave Solomon the plans for the Temple and its surroundings, including the entry room, the storerooms, the upstairs rooms, the inner rooms, and the inner sanctuary— which was the place of atonement.

All[ this, said David], the LORD made me understand in writing by[ his] hand upon me,[ even] all the works of this pattern.

And look that thou make[ them] after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits[ was] the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house;[ and] ten cubits[ was] the breadth thereof before the house.

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he,[ that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

And thou shalt make a mercy seat[ of] pure gold: two cubits and a half[ shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.And thou shalt make two cherubims[ of] gold,[ of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end:[ even] of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.And the cherubims shall stretch forth[ their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces[ shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which[ are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all[ things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

And he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured[ each] post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate[ was] three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.The length of the porch[ was] twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and[ he brought me] by the steps whereby they went up to it: and[ there were] pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy[ place, even] under the wings of the cherubims:

He measured also the porch of the gate within, one reed.Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate[ was] inward.

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about,[ against] the walls of the house round about,[ both] of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:The nethermost chamber[ was] five cubits broad, and the middle[ was] six cubits broad, and the third[ was] seven cubits broad: for without[ in the wall] of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that[ the beams] should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

And[ then] he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house[ with] timber of cedar.

And the side chambers[ were] three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which[ was] of the house for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house.And[ there was] an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house[ was still] upward, and so increased[ from] the lowest[ chamber] to the highest by the midst.I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers[ were] a full reed of six great cubits.The thickness of the wall, which[ was] for the side chamber without,[ was] five cubits: and[ that] which[ was] left[ was] the place of the side chambers that[ were] within.And between the chambers[ was] the wideness of twenty cubits round about the house on every side.And the doors of the side chambers[ were] toward[ the place that was] left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left[ was] five cubits round about.

And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto the face of the porch of the inner gate[ were] fifty cubits.

According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein[ was] the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein[ was] the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service[ of God].But into the second[ went] the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and[ for] the errors of the people:The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built[ them] for it within,[ even] for the oracle,[ even] for the most holy[ place].And the house, that[ is], the temple before it, was forty cubits[ long].And the cedar of the house within[ was] carved with knops and open flowers: all[ was] cedar; there was no stone seen.And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.And the oracle in the forepart[ was] twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and[ so] covered the altar[ which was of] cedar.

So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long;Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which[ was] behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows[ were] covered;To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure.

And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where[ are] the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

Now these[ are the things wherein] Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure[ was] threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.And the porch that[ was] in the front[ of the house], the length[ of it was] according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height[ was] an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold[ was] gold of Parvaim.He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.And he made the most holy house, the length whereof[ was] according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold,[ amounting] to six hundred talents.And the weight of the nails[ was] fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in[ their] set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge[ was] upon them, and the opening thereof every morning[ pertained] to them.And[ certain] of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.[ Some] of them also[ were] appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And of the Levites, Ahijah[ was] over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.[ As concerning] the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers,[ even] of Laadan the Gershonite,[ were] Jehieli.The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother,[ which were] over the treasures of the house of the LORD.Of the Amramites,[ and] the Izharites, the Hebronites,[ and] the Uzzielites:And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses,[ was] ruler of the treasures.And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.Which Shelomith and his brethren[ were] over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount.

And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write[ it] in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded[ to be given] to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.
