王又指派在耶和華殿中的利未人拿著響鈸和琴瑟，是照著大衛、王的先見迦得和拿單先知所吩咐的，就是耶和華藉他的先知所吩咐的。

利未眾子的名字按著他們的世代記在下面，就是革順、哥轄、米拉利。利未一生的歲數是一百三十七歲。革順的兒子，按著他們的家族，是立尼、示每。哥轄的兒子是暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯倫、烏薛。哥轄一生的歲數是一百三十三歲。米拉利的兒子是抹利和母示。按著他們的世代，這些是利未的家族。暗蘭娶了自己的姑母約基別為妻；約基別給他生了亞倫和摩西；暗蘭一生的歲數是一百三十七歲。以斯哈的兒子是可拉、尼斐、細基利。烏薛的兒子是米沙利、以利撒反、西提利。亞倫娶了亞米拿達的女兒拿順的妹妹以利沙巴作妻子；她給亞倫生了拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪。可拉的兒子是亞惜、以利加拿、亞比亞撒；這些是可拉的各家族。

亞倫子孫的班次如下：亞倫的兒子是拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒和以他瑪。

以下是按著家族被數點的利未人：屬革順的，有革順家族；屬哥轄的，有哥轄家族；屬米拉利的，有米拉利家族。這些就是利未的各家族：有立尼家族、希伯倫家族、瑪利家族、母示家族、可拉家族。哥轄生暗蘭。

守門的人的班次如下：可拉家族，亞薩的子孫中，有可利的兒子米施利米雅。

這樣，事奉的職務安排好了以後，他們照著王的吩咐，祭司站在自己的崗位，利未人也按著自己的班次侍立。

希西家指派祭司和利未人的班次，使祭司和利未人照著自己的班次，各按各職獻燔祭和平安祭，又在耶和華殿門內事奉，稱謝和讚美耶和華。
