耶和華賜給我許多兒子，祂在我眾子中揀選了所羅門，讓他坐以色列的王位，治理耶和華的國。耶和華對我說，『你兒子所羅門必建造我的殿宇和庭院，因為我揀選他做我的兒子，我也必做他的父親。倘若他像今天一樣繼續堅守我的誡命和典章，我必使他的國度永遠穩固。』

必有一個嬰兒為我們誕生，有一個孩子要賜給我們。祂必統治我們，祂被稱為奇妙的策士、全能的上帝、永存的父、和平的君。祂的國必長治久安。祂必坐在大衛的寶座上以公平和公義治國，使國家永固。萬軍之耶和華必熱切地成就此事。

你壽終正寢、與祖先同眠之後，我必立你的後裔接替你的王位，使他江山穩固。他必為我的名建造聖殿，我必使他的王位堅立，直到永遠。

基甸在那裡為耶和華築了一座壇，稱之為「耶和華賜平安」。這壇如今仍在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉。

你離世歸到祖先那裡的時候，我必使你的一位後裔繼承你的王位，使他的國堅立。

在他統治之下，願義人興旺，國富民強，如月長存。

我造光明，也造黑暗；賜平安，也降災禍。這一切都是我耶和華的作為。
