現在，請吩咐人在黎巴嫩為我砍伐香柏木，我的僕人必幫助你的僕人。至於你僕人的工錢，我必照你所定的給你。你知道，在我們中間沒有人像西頓人那樣擅長砍伐樹木。」希蘭聽見所羅門的話，就很高興，說：「今日耶和華是應當稱頌的，因為他賜給大衛一個有智慧的兒子，治理這眾多的百姓。」希蘭送信給所羅門，說：「你派人向我所提的那事，我已聽見了；論到香柏木和松木，我必照你一切的心願去做。我的僕人必把這木料從黎巴嫩運到海裏，我會把它們紮成筏子浮在海上，運到你告訴我的地方，在那裏拆開，你就可以收取；你也要照我的心願做，把食物給我的家。」於是希蘭照所羅門的心願，給他香柏木和松木；

所羅門派人去見推羅王希蘭，說：「你曾運香柏木給我父親大衛建造宮殿居住，請你也這樣待我。

他們把銀子給石匠、木匠，把糧食、酒、油給西頓人、推羅人，好將香柏樹從黎巴嫩浮海運到約帕，是照波斯王居魯士所允准他們的。

推羅王希蘭派使者把香柏木運到大衛那裏，又派木匠和石匠給大衛建造宮殿。
