願主賦爾聰明智慧、使爾治以色列、謹守主爾天主之律法、

May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

May the Lord give you good sense. May he give you understanding when he makes you king over Israel. Then you will keep the law of the Lord your God.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

And may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the Lord your God as you rule over Israel.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

所以求你赐我智慧，可以判断你的民，能辨别是非。不然，谁能判断这众多的民呢？”所罗门因为求这事，就蒙主喜悦。神对他说：“你既然求这事，不为自己求寿、求富，也不求灭绝你仇敌的性命，单求智慧可以听讼，我就应允你所求的，赐你聪明智慧，甚至在你以前没有像你的，在你以后也没有像你的。

求你赐我智慧聪明，我好在这民前出入；不然，谁能判断这众多的民呢？”

通达人的智慧在乎明白己道；愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈。

你们中间若有缺少智慧的，应当求那厚赐与众人、也不斥责人的神，主就必赐给他。

因为，耶和华赐人智慧；知识和聪明都由他口而出。他给正直人存留真智慧，给行为纯正的人作盾牌，

神啊，求你将判断的权柄赐给王，将公义赐给王的儿子。

因为我必赐你们口才、智慧，是你们一切敌人所敌不住、驳不倒的。

我们若遵守他的诫命，就晓得是认识他。

所罗门王在法老的女儿之外，又宠爱许多外邦女子，就是摩押女子、亚扪女子、以东女子、西顿女子、赫人女子。论到这些国的人，耶和华曾晓谕以色列人说：“你们不可与她们往来相通，因为她们必诱惑你们的心去随从她们的神。”所罗门却恋爱这些女子。所罗门有妃七百，都是公主；还有嫔三百。这些妃嫔诱惑他的心。所罗门年老的时候，他的妃嫔诱惑他的心去随从别神，不效法他父亲大卫诚诚实实地顺服耶和华他的神。因为所罗门随从西顿人的女神亚斯他录和亚扪人可憎的神米勒公。所罗门行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，不效法他父亲大卫专心顺从耶和华。所罗门为摩押可憎的神基抹和亚扪人可憎的神摩洛，在耶路撒冷对面的山上建筑邱坛。他为那些向自己的神烧香献祭的外邦女子，就是他娶来的妃嫔也是这样行。耶和华向所罗门发怒，因为他的心偏离向他两次显现的耶和华以色列的神。耶和华曾吩咐他不可随从别神，他却没有遵守耶和华所吩咐的。

所以你们要谨守遵行；这就是你们在万民眼前的智慧、聪明。他们听见这一切律例，必说：‘这大国的人真是有智慧，有聪明！’
