So I have decided to build a temple to honor the LORD my God, as the LORD instructed my father David,‘ Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, is the one who will build a temple to honor me.’

Then say to him,‘ The LORD who rules over all says,“ Look– here is the man whose name is Branch, who will sprout up from his place and build the temple of the LORD.Indeed, he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed in splendor, sitting as king on his throne. Moreover, there will be a priest with him on his throne and they will see eye to eye on everything.

He will call out to me,‘ You are my father, my God, and the protector who delivers me.’

He will build me a house, and I will make his dynasty permanent.I will become his father and he will become my son. I will never withhold my loyal love from him, as I withheld it from the one who ruled before you.I will put him in permanent charge of my house and my kingdom; his dynasty will be permanent.”’”

He said to me,‘ Solomon your son is the one who will build my temple and my courts, for I have chosen him to become my son and I will become his father.I will establish his kingdom permanently, if he remains committed to obeying my commands and regulations, as you are doing this day.’

His dynasty will last forever. His throne will endure before me, like the sun,it will remain stable, like the moon, his throne will endure like the skies.”( Selah)

But you will not build the temple; your very own son will build the temple for my honor.’The LORD has kept the promise he made. I have taken my father David’s place and have occupied the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised. I have built this temple for the honor of the LORD God of Israel
