They will destroy you with their swords. Or you can have three days when the sword of the Lord will punish you. That means there would be three days of plague in the land. My angel would strike down people in every part of Israel.’ So take your pick. Tell me how to answer the one who sent me.”

我誠告爾、昔以利亞時、天閉塞三年有六月、遍地大饑、以色列民間、有多嫠婦、

天主遣使者往耶路撒冷、滅耶路撒冷之民、使者正滅民時、主見之悔降此災、或作主見之心回意轉不欲復降此災遂諭滅民之使者曰、今足矣、止爾手、其時主之使者、立於耶布斯人阿珥楠之禾場、大衛舉目見主之使者、立於天地間、拔刀於手、指耶路撒冷、遂與諸長老皆衣麻衣、面伏於地、

主必使爾為敵所敗、爾由一途出以攻敵、必由七途逃於其前、必受天下萬國之凌辱、

希律不歸榮於天主、故主之使者、立擊之、為蟲所噬而氣絕、○

主之劍乎、爾行戮不息、何時方止、當入於鞘、安靖不動、

爾畜之所生、爾土之所產、俱必吞食、使爾殲絕、爾穀酒與油、爾牛群羊群盡取不留、使爾滅亡、圍困爾於爾諸城中、在爾四境、使爾所恃高聳鞏固之城垣俱陷、敵必困爾於爾諸城中、在主所賜爾之全地、

厥後我見四天使立於地之四極、執掌地之四風、使風不吹於地於海於樹、又見一天使、自日出之處而上、執永生天主之印、向得權傷地與海之四天使大聲呼曰、且勿傷地與海與樹、待我印我天主眾僕之額、

則爾所懼之鋒刃、必追及爾於伊及、所慮之饑饉、必臨及爾於伊及、爾曹必亡於彼、

爾中遺民、居於敵國、我使之心驚膽怯、聞風吹葉、亦必逃遁、以為有敵人恃刃逐之、雖無人追襲、亦必傾跌、無人追襲時亦必逃遁、彼此衝突躓蹶、如有刃擊殺、爾不能立於敵前、

主必以惡瘡加諸爾膝爾股、自足掌至頭頂、醫不能治、

如我降疫癘於其國、發洩我之盛忿、盡行誅殺、盡行誅殺或作使其中有殺人流血之事致人與畜絕於其中、主天主曰、雖挪亞、但以理、約百居於其中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、但能因其義救一己之生命、主天主如是云、我使四暴災降於耶路撒冷、即鋒刃、饑饉、猛獸、疫癘、於其中絕人與畜、其害豈非尤重乎、

行毀者已至曠野諸童山、自國此極至國彼極、主之刃遍行殺戮、凡有血氣者、不得綏安、

蓋主將行刑、以火以刃、懲罰凡有血氣者、遭主戮者甚多、

爾必以伊及人所患之毒疔惡瘡癬疥、醫所不能治者、加諸爾身、

亦不懼黑暗之瘟災、日午害人之毒病、

爾食舊穀、因新而移其舊、

世末亦然、天使將出、於義人中以別惡人、投於火爐、在彼必有哀哭切齒、
