犹大王约阿施把先王约沙法、约兰、亚哈谢和他自己奉献的圣物以及耶和华殿里和王宫库房里的所有金子都送给了亚兰王哈薛，哈薛便从耶路撒冷退兵。

大卫问他：“你是谁的仆人？你从哪里来？”他答道：“我是埃及人，是亚玛力人的奴仆。三天前，主人因为我患病把我撇弃了。

所罗门王完成耶和华殿的一切工作后，就把他父亲大卫献给耶和华的金银和器具都搬进耶和华殿的库房。

看啊，我历尽艰辛，为耶和华的殿预备了三千四百五十吨金子、三万四千五百吨银子和不计其数的铜和铁。我还预备了木料和石头。你还要多加预备。

利未人亚希雅负责掌管上帝殿里的库房和放奉献之物的库房。

他们是以东人、以实玛利人、摩押人、夏甲人、迦巴勒人、亚扪人、亚玛力人、非利士人和泰尔人。

要把所有的金银和铜铁器皿分别出来献给耶和华，放进耶和华的库房里。”

也夺了所有的牛羊。他的部下把这些牛羊赶到自己的牲畜前面，说：“这是大卫的战利品。”

耶和华说：“锡安城啊，起来打谷吧！我要给你铁角，我要给你铜蹄。你要打碎列国，将他们的不义之财献给耶和华，把他们的财富献给普天下的主。”

大卫王把这些器皿和他征服亚兰人、摩押人、亚扪人、非利士人、亚玛力人和利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢时所得的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。

“我算什么，我的人民算什么，怎么配向你奉献？因为万物都从你而来，我们只是把从你那里得来的献给你。
