我和以色列眾人，無論走到甚麼地方，從沒有向以色列的哪一個士師，就是我所吩咐牧養我的子民的，說：你們為甚麼不給我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民的说：你为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我百姓的，说过这话：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

在我与以色列人同行的日子，我从未责问任何我委派牧养我子民的士师，‘你为何不为我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

我在以色列眾人中間往來、無論甚麼地方、我何曾向以色列士師中哪一位、我所委任來牧養我人民的、說：『你們為甚麼不給我建造香柏木的殿呢？』」

凡我與以色列人偕行之地、豈曾語牧我民以色列之士師曰、曷不為我建香柏之室乎、

我與以色列族偕行、不論何所、特簡數人、使牧我民、曷嘗命建柏香木殿、為我居所乎。

凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列之士師、即我所命牧我民者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、

Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their leaders whom I commanded to shepherd my people,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

I have moved from place to place with all the Israelites. I commanded their leaders to be shepherds over my people. I never asked any of those leaders,‘ Why haven’t you built me a house that has beautiful cedar walls?’ ” ’

In all places where I have moved with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, saying,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s leaders, the shepherds of my people. I have never asked them,“ Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’

In all my journeys throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, asking: Why haven’t you built me a house of cedar?’

In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

Wherever I have moved about with all Israel, have I ever spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

In all places wherein I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedar?

In all My travels throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, asking: Why haven’t you built Me a house of cedar?’

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

Wherever I moved throughout Israel, I did not say to any of the leaders whom I appointed to care for my people Israel,‘ Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?’”’

In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

我與以色列眾人一起走過的地方，我可曾對以色列的一個支派的官長，就是我所吩咐要牧養我子民以色列的，說：你們為甚麼不給我建造一座香柏木的殿宇呢？’

他必站立起來，靠著耶和華的能力，靠著耶和華他神之名的威嚴，牧養他的羊群；他們必然安居，因為那時他必尊大，直到地極。

神的殿和偶像怎能協調呢？我們就是永生神的殿，正如神說：“我要住在他們中間，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。”

以色列人從耶和華的山起行，行了三天的路程，耶和華的約櫃在他們前面行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安息的地方。他們拔營起行的時候，日間總有耶和華的雲彩在他們上頭。約櫃起行的時候，摩西就說：“耶和華啊，求你起來，願你的仇敵四散；願恨你的人從你面前逃跑。”約櫃停住的時候，他就說：“耶和華啊，求你歸來，回到以色列的千萬人中。”

我必在你們中間安置我的居所，我的心也不厭棄你們。我要在你們中間行走；我要作你們的神，你們要作我的子民。

“人子啊！你要說預言攻擊以色列眾牧者；你要對他們說預言：‘主耶和華這樣說：以色列眾牧者有禍了！他們只顧牧養自己。牧者豈不應當牧養羊群嗎？

於是耶和華差遣耶路．巴力、比但、耶弗他、撒母耳，救你們脫離四圍仇敵的手，你們才可以安然居住。

‘猶大地的伯利恆啊！你在猶大的領袖中，並不是最小的，因為必有一位領袖從你那裡出來，牧養我的子民以色列。’”

耶和華興起了士師，士師就拯救他們脫離搶掠他們的人的手。但他們連士師也不聽從，竟與別的神行了姦淫，敬拜他們；他們迅速偏離了他們列祖所行、聽從耶和華命令的道路，他們沒有照樣行。耶和華為他們興起士師的時候，耶和華就與那士師同在；那士師在世的日子，耶和華總是拯救他們脫離仇敵的手；因為他們在壓迫和苦害他們的人底下發出哀聲，耶和華就憐憫他們。

從前掃羅作王的時候，是你率領以色列人出入征戰；耶和華你的神曾對你說過：‘你要牧養我的人民以色列，你要作我的人民以色列的領袖。’”

“你要寫信給在以弗所教會的使者，說：‘那右手拿著七星，在七個金燈臺中間行走的，這樣說：

他領他出來，使他不再跟著那些母羊，卻要牧養他的子民雅各，和他的產業以色列。於是大衛以正直的心牧養他們，靈巧地引導他們。

因為耶和華你的神常在你的營中行走，要拯救你，要把你的仇敵交在你的面前；所以你的營要聖潔，免得他看見你那裡有污穢的東西，就離開你。

我要興起牧人，牧養牠們；牠們必不再恐懼驚慌，一個也不會失掉。”這是耶和華的宣告。

這一切歷時約四百五十年。後來神賜給他們士師，直到撒母耳先知為止。

耶和華說：“我必親自與你同去，也必給你安息。”摩西對他說：“你若是不親自與我們同去，就不要把我們從這裡領上去。

摩西不能進入會幕，因為雲彩停在會幕上面，並且耶和華的榮耀充滿著帳幕。在以色列人所有的旅程中是這樣的：每逢雲彩從帳幕收上去的時候，他們就起程；雲彩若是不收上去，他們就不起程，直到雲彩收上去的日子為止。因為以色列人所有的旅程中，日間有耶和華的雲彩在帳幕上，夜間雲中有火，顯在以色列全家的眼前。
