I will be his Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.

I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.

I will be his father. And he will be my son. I took my love away from the man who ruled before you. But I will never take my love away from your son.

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

So Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.

“ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

But he did not inquire of the Lord; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

“ I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

Nevertheless I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David; I will tear it out of the hand of your son.However I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of my servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.”

He shall cry to Me,‘ You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’Also I will make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall stand firm with him.His seed also I will make to endure forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.“ If his sons forsake My law And do not walk in My judgments,If they break My statutes And do not keep My commandments,Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David:His seed shall endure forever, And his throne as the sun before Me;It shall be established forever like the moon, Even like the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah

I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men.But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’”

And to his son I will give one tribe, that My servant David may always have a lamp before Me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Myself, to put My name there.

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
