說：「以色列的上帝耶和華當受稱頌！祂親口給我父大衛的應許，現在祂親手成就了！

他召集了以色列的眾首領、祭司和利未人。凡三十歲以上的利未人都在統計之列，共有三萬八千男子，其中有兩萬四千人在耶和華的殿裡司職，六千人做官長和審判官，四千人守門，四千人用大衛提供的樂器頌讚耶和華。大衛將利未人革順、哥轄和米拉利的子孫分成班次。

耶和華對亞倫說：「你和你的兒子及親族要承擔觸犯聖所的罪責；你和你兒子也要承擔觸犯祭司職務的罪責。你和你兒子在安放約櫃的聖幕供職時，要把你們利未支派的親族也一同帶去，讓他們協助你。他們要遵守你的吩咐，看守整個聖幕，但不可接近聖所的器具和祭壇，以免他們和你們都死亡。他們要協助你，負責看守聖幕，辦理聖幕的一切事務。外人不可靠近。你們要看守聖所和祭壇，以免我的憤怒再臨到以色列人。我已從以色列人中選出你們的利未親族歸給我，協助你們在會幕中司職。

上帝啊，求你快快拯救我；耶和華啊，求你速速幫助我。

不要因為惡人而煩惱，也不要羡慕作惡之人，

雅各在那裡築了一座壇，稱之為伊利·伊羅伊·以色列。

耶路撒冷啊，我已在你城牆上設立守望者。他們晝夜不停地禱告。呼求耶和華的人啊，你們不可歇息，要常常敦促祂，直到祂建立耶路撒冷，使耶路撒冷成為普世歌頌的城。
