我们不敢以为自己有资格作什么，我们所能够作的是出于神。

我算什么？我的人民又算什么？竟有力量这样乐意奉献？因为万物都是从你而来，我们只是把从你手里得来的，奉献给你。

“‘第七日，要献公牛七头、公绵羊两只、一岁没有残疾的公羊羔十四只；

对于灭亡的人，这是死亡的气味叫人死；对于得救的人，这却是生命的香气使人活。这些事谁够资格作呢？

然而，我得到神的帮助，直到今日还是站得稳，向尊卑老幼作见证，我所讲的都是众先知和摩西所论的将来必成的事，

这节期的七天，每天他都要为耶和华预备无残疾的公牛七头和公绵羊七只作燔祭；他每天又要预备公山羊一只作赎罪祭。

撒母耳搬来了一块石头，把它竖立在米斯巴和善之间，给这块石头起名叫以便以谢，说：“直到现在，耶和华都帮助我们。”

我要带着燔祭进你的殿，我要向你还我的愿，就是在急难的时候，我嘴唇所许的，我口里所说的。我要把肥美的牲畜作燔祭，连同公绵羊的馨香祭献给你，我并且要把公牛和公山羊献上。（细拉）
