David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.

David told the Levite leaders to appoint other Levites as musicians. He wanted them to make a joyful sound with lyres, harps and cymbals.

David also commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers as the singers who should play loudly on musical instruments, on harps and lyres and cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.

David also ordered the Levite leaders to appoint a choir of Levites who were singers and musicians to sing joyful songs to the accompaniment of harps, lyres, and cymbals.

Then David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their relatives as singers and to have them raise their voices with joy accompanied by musical instruments— harps, lyres, and cymbals.

Then David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives as the singers, with musical instruments, harps, lyres, and cymbals, playing to raise sounds of joy.

来吧！让我们向耶和华欢唱，向我们救恩的磐石欢呼！

歌唱的和跳舞的都说：“我一切的泉源都在你里面。”

愿他们用舞蹈赞美他的名，用铃鼓和竖琴歌颂他！

我曾把你留在克里特岛，为的是这样的缘故：要你处理那些还没有办完的事，并且照着我所吩咐你的，在各城委任长老。

君王们必作你儿女的抚养人，王后们必作你儿女的乳母；他们必脸伏于地，向你下拜，舔你脚上的尘土。那时，你就知道：我是耶和华，等候我的必不致蒙羞。”

保罗和巴拿巴在各教会为他们选出了长老，祷告和禁食以后，把他们交托给他们所信靠的主。

要用号角的声音赞美他，用里拉琴和竖琴赞美他！要用铃鼓和舞蹈赞美他，用丝弦和笛子赞美他！

“如果有人向往监督的职份，他就是在渴望一份美好的工作。”这话是信实的。所以做监督的必须无可指责，只做一个妇人的丈夫，节制、自律、端庄，乐意款待客旅，善于教导，不酗酒、不好斗；反要谦和，不争吵、不贪财，好好带领自己的家，在一切的事上庄重，使儿女顺服。但如果有人不知道怎么带领自己的家，他怎么能照顾神的教会呢？做监督的不可以是新信徒，免得他自以为是，就落在魔鬼所受的惩罚里；同时，做监督的在外人中也必须有好名声，免得受人责骂，落在魔鬼的网罗里。做执事的也一样，必须庄重，不一口两舌，不酗酒，不贪图不正当的利益，以清白的良心持守信仰的奥秘；并且这些人也当先受考验，如果是无可指责的，才可以做执事。照样，他们的妻子也必须庄重，不恶意控告人，有节制，在一切事上都忠心。做执事的只可做一个妇人的丈夫，好好带领儿女和自己的家。因为那好好服事的，就让自己达到美好的境地，并且在基督耶稣里的信仰上大有胆量。我把这些事写给你，希望很快到你那里去。就算我耽延了，你也可以知道在神的家里应该怎样行事。这家是永生神的教会，是真理的柱石和根基。

全地啊，你们当向耶和华欢呼！

你要把那些在许多见证人面前从我所听见的，交托给那些忠心可靠、又有能力教导别人的人。

你们当向神——我们的力量欢唱，向雅各的神欢呼！

称谢耶和华、歌颂至高者你的名，是多么美好——在清晨宣告你的慈爱、在夜间宣告你的信实，用十弦琴、里拉琴、竖琴的旋律！
