As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”

Listen for the sound of marching in the tops of the trees. Then move out to fight. The sound will mean that I have gone out in front of you. I will strike down the Philistine army.”

And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.”

聽啊，山間有喧鬧的聲音，好像有許多百姓聚集，聽啊，多國之民聚集鬧鬨的聲音；這是萬軍之耶和華召集作戰的軍隊。

忽然，有響聲從天上下來，好像一陣大風吹過，充滿了他們所坐的整座屋子；

我親愛的，這樣看來，你們向來是順服的，不但我在你們那裏，就是我現在不在你們那裏的時候更是順服的，就當恐懼戰兢完成你們自己得救的事；因為是神在你們心裏運行，使你們又立志又實行，為要成就他的美意。

那夜，耶和華對基甸說：「起來，下去攻營，因我已把它交在你手中。

底波拉對巴拉說：「起來，今日就是耶和華把西西拉交在你手中的日子。耶和華豈不在你前面行嗎？」於是巴拉下了他泊山，跟隨他的有一萬人。

看哪，我必驚動他的心，他要聽見風聲就歸回本地，在那裏我必使他倒在刀下。』」

他們若對我們這麼說：『站住，等我們到你們那裏去』，我們就站在原地，不上他們那裏去；但他們若這麼說：『上到我們這裏來吧』，我們就上去，因為耶和華把他們交在我們手裏了。這就是我們的憑據。」二人就讓非利士的駐軍看見。非利士人說：「看哪，希伯來人從躲藏的洞穴裏出來了！」站崗的士兵對約拿單和拿兵器的人說：「上到這裏來，我們有一件事要告訴你們。」約拿單就對拿兵器的人說：「跟我上去，因為耶和華把他們交在以色列人手裏了。」約拿單手腳並用爬上去，拿兵器的人跟隨他。非利士人仆倒在約拿單面前，拿兵器的人跟着他，殺死他們。約拿單和拿兵器的人第一次擊殺的約有二十人，都在一畝地的半犁溝之內。於是在軍營、在田野、在眾百姓中，人心惶惶，駐軍和突擊隊都戰兢；地也震動，這是從神那裏來的驚恐。在便雅憫的基比亞，掃羅的哨兵觀看，看哪，非利士全軍潰亂，四處亂竄。掃羅就對跟隨他的百姓說：「你們去數點人數，看是誰從我們這裏出去。」他們一數點，看哪，約拿單和拿兵器的人不在其中。那時神的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你把神的約櫃請到這裏來。」掃羅正與祭司說話的時候，非利士營中的騷亂越來越劇烈；掃羅就對祭司說：「停手吧！」掃羅和所有跟隨他的百姓都集合，來到戰場，看哪，非利士人用刀互相擊殺，大大混亂。那先前由四方來跟隨非利士人、在他們營中的希伯來人，現在也轉過來幫助跟隨掃羅和約拿單的以色列人了。那藏在以法蓮山區的以色列眾人聽說非利士人逃跑，就出來緊緊地追擊他們。

至於你們倖存的人，我要使他們在敵人之地心中驚慌，甚至風吹落葉的聲音也把他們嚇跑。他們要逃避，像人逃避刀劍，雖無人追趕，卻要跌倒。

耶和華對所膏的居魯士如此說，他的右手我曾攙扶，使列國降服在他面前，列王的腰帶我曾鬆開，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉：「我要在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。

基甸聽見這夢的敘述和夢的解釋，就敬拜神。他回到以色列營中，說：「起來吧！耶和華已把米甸軍隊交在你們手中了。」

雅各家啊，我定要聚集你們，定要召集以色列的餘民，將他們安置在一處，如波斯拉的羊，又如草場上的羊羣，人數眾多，大大喧嘩。開路的在他們前面上去，直闖過城門，從城門出去；他們的王在前面行，耶和華在他們的前頭。

因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見戰車戰馬的聲音，大軍的聲音，他們就彼此說：「看哪，這必是以色列王雇用赫人諸王和埃及諸王來攻擊我們。」
