As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”

听啊，山间有喧闹的声音，好像有许多百姓聚集，听啊，多国之民聚集闹哄的声音；这是万军之耶和华召集作战的军队。

忽然，有响声从天上下来，好像一阵大风吹过，充满了他们所坐的整座屋子；

我亲爱的，这样看来，你们向来是顺服的，不但我在你们那里，就是我现在不在你们那里的时候更是顺服的，就当恐惧战兢完成你们自己得救的事；因为是神在你们心里运行，使你们又立志又实行，为要成就他的美意。

那夜，耶和华对基甸说：“起来，下去攻营，因我已把它交在你手中。

底波拉对巴拉说：“起来，今日就是耶和华把西西拉交在你手中的日子。耶和华岂不在你前面行吗？”于是巴拉下了他泊山，跟随他的有一万人。

看哪，我必惊动他的心，他要听见风声就归回本地，在那里我必使他倒在刀下。’”

他们若对我们这么说：‘站住，等我们到你们那里去’，我们就站在原地，不上他们那里去；但他们若这么说：‘上到我们这里来吧’，我们就上去，因为耶和华把他们交在我们手里了。这就是我们的凭据。”二人就让非利士的驻军看见。非利士人说：“看哪，希伯来人从躲藏的洞穴里出来了！”站岗的士兵对约拿单和拿兵器的人说：“上到这里来，我们有一件事要告诉你们。”约拿单就对拿兵器的人说：“跟我上去，因为耶和华把他们交在以色列人手里了。”约拿单手脚并用爬上去，拿兵器的人跟随他。非利士人仆倒在约拿单面前，拿兵器的人跟着他，杀死他们。约拿单和拿兵器的人第一次击杀的约有二十人，都在一亩地的半犁沟之内。于是在军营、在田野、在众百姓中，人心惶惶，驻军和突击队都战兢；地也震动，这是从神那里来的惊恐。在便雅悯的基比亚，扫罗的哨兵观看，看哪，非利士全军溃乱，四处乱窜。扫罗就对跟随他的百姓说：“你们去数点人数，看是谁从我们这里出去。”他们一数点，看哪，约拿单和拿兵器的人不在其中。那时神的约柜在以色列人那里。扫罗对亚希亚说：“你把神的约柜请到这里来。”扫罗正与祭司说话的时候，非利士营中的骚乱越来越剧烈；扫罗就对祭司说：“停手吧！”扫罗和所有跟随他的百姓都集合，来到战场，看哪，非利士人用刀互相击杀，大大混乱。那先前由四方来跟随非利士人、在他们营中的希伯来人，现在也转过来帮助跟随扫罗和约拿单的以色列人了。那藏在以法莲山区的以色列众人听说非利士人逃跑，就出来紧紧地追击他们。

至于你们幸存的人，我要使他们在敌人之地心中惊慌，甚至风吹落叶的声音也把他们吓跑。他们要逃避，像人逃避刀剑，虽无人追赶，却要跌倒。

耶和华对所膏的居鲁士如此说，他的右手我曾搀扶，使列国降服在他面前，列王的腰带我曾松开，使城门在他面前敞开，不得关闭：“我要在你前面行，修平崎岖之地。我必打破铜门，砍断铁闩。

基甸听见这梦的叙述和梦的解释，就敬拜神。他回到以色列营中，说：“起来吧！耶和华已把米甸军队交在你们手中了。”

雅各家啊，我定要聚集你们，定要召集以色列的余民，将他们安置在一处，如波斯拉的羊，又如草场上的羊群，人数众多，大大喧哗。开路的在他们前面上去，直闯过城门，从城门出去；他们的王在前面行，耶和华在他们的前头。

因为主使亚兰人的军队听见战车战马的声音，大军的声音，他们就彼此说：“看哪，这必是以色列王雇用赫人诸王和埃及诸王来攻击我们。”
