David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah( Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim— the ark that is called by the Name.

David went to Baalah of Judah. The whole community of Israel went with him. Baalah is also called Kiriath Jearim. All the people went there to get the ark of God the Lord. He sits on his throne between the cherubim. The ark is named after the Lord.

And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord who sits enthroned above the cherubim.

Then David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah( also called Kiriath jearim) to bring back the Ark of God, which bears the name of the Lord who is enthroned between the cherubim.

于是他们派人到示罗去，从那里把坐在二基路伯中间万军之耶和华的约柜抬来；以利的两个儿子，何弗尼和非尼哈，也与神的约柜一同来了。

又有基列．巴力（基列．巴力就是基列．耶琳）、拉巴，共两座城，还有属于这些城的村庄。

你们在他面前要谨慎，要听他的话，不可违背他；不然，他必不赦免你们的过犯，因为他是奉我的名来的。

摩西进入会幕要与耶和华说话的时候，就听见法柜的施恩座上，二基路伯中间，有与他说话的声音，是耶和华与他说话。

以色列的牧者啊！带领约瑟好像带领羊群的啊！求你留心听；坐在基路伯上面的啊！求你显出荣光。

你要为我筑一座土坛，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊献在坛上；在我使人记念我名的地方，我都必到你那里去赐福你。

大卫和与他在一起的众人起程前去，要从巴拉‧犹大把神的约柜运来，这约柜的名称是以坐在二基路伯之上万军之耶和华的名字而起的。他们把神的约柜从山冈上亚比拿达的家里抬出来，安放在一辆新车上；亚比拿达的两个儿子，乌撒和亚希约赶着这辆新车，车上有神的约柜（按《七十士译本》、《死海古卷》和《马索拉文本》在本句前有“他们从山冈上亚比拿达的家里抬出来”，可能是抄写员无意中重复了第3节的字句）。亚希约走在约柜的前面。大卫和以色列全家在耶和华面前用各种松木制造的乐器，就是用琴、瑟、鼓、钹、锣，作乐跳舞。他们到了拿艮的打禾场的时候，因为牛几乎绊倒，乌撒就伸手扶住神的约柜。耶和华的怒气向乌撒发作；神因这错误的举动，就当场击杀他，他就死在神的约柜旁边。大卫因为耶和华击杀了乌撒，就很生气，因此称那地方为毗列斯‧乌撒，直到今日。那一天，大卫惧怕耶和华，说：“耶和华的约柜怎可以到我这里来呢？”于是大卫不肯把耶和华的约柜运进大卫的城到他那里去，却转运到迦特人俄别‧以东的家里去。耶和华的约柜在迦特人俄别‧以东的家停留了三个月，耶和华赐福给俄别‧以东和他的全家。

“万军之耶和华，以色列的神，坐在二基路伯中间的啊！唯独你是地上万国的神；你创造了天地。

他们要这样奉我的名为以色列人祝福，我也要赐福他们。”

‘自从我把我的子民以色列领出埃及的日子以来，我未曾在以色列的各支派中拣选一座城，建造殿宇，作我名的居所；但我拣选了大卫治理我的子民以色列。’

耶和华作王，万民都要战栗；他坐在两个基路伯之上，大地也要震动。
