The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

Then the Lord became very angry with Uzzah. The Lord struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So Uzzah died there in front of God.

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark, and he died there before God.

因你們先前沒有擡這約櫃，按定例求問耶和華－我們的神，所以他刑罰我們。」

利未子孫就用槓，肩擡神的約櫃，是照耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的。

將要起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子把聖所和聖所的一切器具遮蓋完了，哥轄的子孫就要來擡，只是不可摸聖物，免得他們死亡。會幕裏這些物件是哥轄子孫所當擡的。

他既強盛，就心高氣傲，以致行事邪僻，干犯耶和華－他的神，進耶和華的殿，要在香壇上燒香。祭司亞撒利雅率領耶和華勇敢的祭司八十人，跟隨他進去。他們就阻擋烏西雅王，對他說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你的事，乃是亞倫子孫承接聖職祭司的事。你出聖殿吧！因為你犯了罪。你行這事，耶和華神必不使你得榮耀。」烏西雅就發怒，手拿香爐要燒香。他向祭司發怒的時候，在耶和華殿中香壇旁眾祭司面前，額上忽然發出大痲瘋。大祭司亞撒利雅和眾祭司觀看，見他額上發出大痲瘋，就催他出殿；他自己也急速出去，因為耶和華降災與他。

因此，在你們中間有好些軟弱的與患病的，死的也不少。我們若是先分辨自己，就不至於受審。我們受審的時候，乃是被主懲治，免得我們和世人一同定罪。

又有火從耶和華那裏出來，燒滅了那獻香的二百五十個人。

嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，吩咐他們說：「你們擡起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華的約櫃前」；

亞倫的兒子拿答、亞比戶各拿自己的香爐，盛上火，加上香，在耶和華面前獻上凡火，是耶和華沒有吩咐他們的，就有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們燒滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所說：『我在親近我的人中要顯為聖；在眾民面前，我要得榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

耶和華因伯‧示麥人擅觀他的約櫃，就擊殺了他們七十人；那時有五萬人在那裏。百姓因耶和華大大擊殺他們，就哀哭了。
