Psalm 34
The Lord Delivers the Righteous
Concerning David, when he pretended to be insane in the presence of Abimelech,34:0 1Sm 21:10–15 who drove him out, and he departed.
1I will bless the Lord at all times;
the humble will hear and be glad.34:2 Ps 69:32
let us exalt his name together.34:3 Ps 69:30
4I sought the Lord, and he answered me
their faces will never be ashamed.34:5 Ps 25:3
6This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him from all his troubles.34:6 Ps 34:4
7The angel of the Lord encamps
How happy is the person who takes refuge in him!34:8 Ps 2:12
9You who are his holy ones, fear the Lord,
for those who fear him lack nothing.34:9 Ps 23:1
but those who seek the Lord
will not lack any good thing.34:10 Ps 84:11
11Come, children, listen to me;
12Who is someone who desires life,
13Keep your tongue from evil

15The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
16The face of the Lord is set

and rescues them from all their troubles.34:17 Ps 145:19
18The Lord is near the brokenhearted;
19One who is righteous has many adversities,
but the Lord rescues him from them all.34:19 Ps 71:20; 2Tm 3:11–12
20He protects all his bones;
21Evil brings death to the wicked,
22The Lord redeems the life of his servants,
and all who take refuge in him will not be punished.34:22 Ps 37:40; Rm 8:33–34
